Privacy Policy

Effective October 21, 2026

Cascade Honey Company LLC ("Cascade Honey Company", "we", "us") is a family business in Vancouver, Washington. This page explains what information we collect on cascadehoneycompany.com and how we use it.

What we collect

  • When you order: your name, email and phone number; the name the honey is for, the group it's sorted under (such as a teacher or team), and who's picking it up; and what you ordered.
  • When you apply to run a fundraiser: your name, email, phone and role; your organization's name, city and state; and who receives the funds.
  • When you create an account: your name, email and password. We store your password in a form we can't read.
  • When you visit our public pages: basic analytics (see below).
  • When you use our site: basic technical information, like your IP address and browser type, which we use to keep accounts secure and prevent abuse.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach our servers. Stripe's own privacy policy covers how it handles payment information.

How we use your information

  • To fill your order, label it, and get it to the right person
  • To send receipts, account emails and fundraiser updates
  • To answer your questions and handle refunds
  • To pay fundraiser partners what they've earned

Who we share it with

  • The fundraiser you ordered through. Your name appears on the group's pickup sheets, and your contact details are shared with the group's organizers and your pickup person, so your honey reaches you. We tell you this at checkout.
  • Service providers who run parts of our site for us: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting and email delivery) and Google (analytics).
  • When required by law.

We never sell your information.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits to our public pages, such as the home page, the fundraiser pages and the application form, so we can see which pages help families and groups find us. It records the page's address without any search terms, a general location, and your device and browser type, and it sets cookies to tell repeat visits apart. It never receives your name, email or phone. When you check out, it receives the order total, but not what you ordered or who you are. On fundraiser pages, the page title it sees includes the fundraiser's name. We've turned off Google's advertising and signals features, and it never runs on account, staff or Honey Ambassador pages.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in, to count each purchase only once, and, on public pages only, for the analytics described above. Stripe sets its own cookies during checkout, and Cloudflare's security check runs on our sign-up, application and invitation pages.

Children

Orders are placed by parents and other adults. Our site isn't meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. When an order is for a student, the adult ordering gives us the student's name and, if needed, their teacher or class, only so the honey reaches them.

How long we keep it

We keep order and payment records as long as we need them for taxes and accounting. You can ask us to delete your account and any information we don't need to keep.
